Fabrication capabilities
Seven disciplines under one roof. VSS Enterprises designs, fabricates and installs petroleum storage tanks, pressure vessels, process tankage and piping — and takes the statutory licence through with them.
01 · Core discipline
Petroleum storage tanks
The core of the business. VSS Enterprises fabricates above-ground and underground storage tanks for high speed diesel (HSD), furnace oil (FO), light diesel oil (LDO) and solvents such as solvent 1425 — in mild steel and stainless steel, sized and detailed to the petroleum class of the product stored.
Because the Petroleum Rules classify products by flash point, the tank design, shell thickness, venting, bunding and separation distances all follow from the class. That is the engineering discipline VSS brings: a tank that is not only fabricated correctly, but designed to clear PESO inspection.

02 · Turnkey
Turnkey fuel storage & distribution
A tank on its own is not a fuel facility. VSS Enterprises delivers the whole system on a turnkey basis: tank, containment, piping, pumps, dispensing points, instrumentation and commissioning — plus the PESO and explosive licence that makes it legal to operate.
This is what separates VSS from a plain fabrication shop. The client signs off on a working, licensed installation rather than a tank that still needs a contractor, a consultant and a licence application.

03 · Pressure equipment
Pressure vessels, air receivers & reactor columns
Fabrication of pressure vessels, air receivers, reactor columns and LPG spheres, built to drawing and code, with hydrotesting and documentation as part of the delivery.
These are the components where fabrication quality is least forgiving — a poorly welded receiver is a hazard, not an inconvenience. VSS's fabrication unit is set up for plate forming, fit-up and multi-pass welding with 400 A welding transformers.

04 · Environmental
STP, ETP & RO plant tanks
MS and SS tankage, receivers, bar screens and clarifiers for sewage treatment plants, effluent treatment plants and reverse osmosis systems.
Water and effluent treatment is one of the fastest-growing segments in Indian industry, driven by tightening pollution-control norms and zero liquid discharge requirements. Every treatment plant needs fabricated tankage and structural components — and VSS already builds them.

05 · Piping
MS & SS piping — process, utility & steam
Fabrication and erection of mild steel and stainless steel piping for fuel, compressed air, hydrant, utility and steam services — including compressor piping, supports and hangers.
Piping is where a fabrication job either comes together or falls apart. VSS executes it both at the fabrication unit and at site, which means the tank, the piping and the commissioning are handled by one team with one set of drawings.

06 · Fabrication
Tankers, chimneys, ducting & structures
Petroleum transport tankers, water tankers, industrial chimneys, ducting and structural steel work — fabricated and erected to drawing, at the unit or on site.
Field distillation units, grills and general structural fabrication round out the capability, so clients with an unusual or one-off requirement are not turned away.

07 · Maintenance
Tank cleaning, testing & annual maintenance
Petroleum tanks need cleaning at least once every three years. Left alone, water and sludge build up and are drawn into the diesel generator when fuel is transferred from the main tank — which clogs injectors, damages the fuel system and can end in generator failure.
VSS cleans and tests tanks without stopping the plant: fuel is offloaded to a substitute tank, the master tank is cleaned and hydraulically tested for leaks, and the fuel is refilled afterwards.

Plant & equipment
The fabrication unit
VSS Enterprises runs a fabrication unit at Subedar Palya, Jarakabande Kaval, near Yelahanka in north Bangalore. Tankage is fabricated here and shipped to site; piping, installation, licensing and structural work is executed at client locations across India.
The unit is equipped for plate forming, cutting, drilling and multi-pass welding, with experienced engineers, fitters and riggers on the team.
